Lax Scout's staff is comprised of some of the most knowledgeable individuals in lacrosse. We have guys such as Ted Garber, who was the NCAA Division I Coach of the Year at UMass and is currently our Scouting Coordinator for Connecticut. Matt Hogan is our Scouting Coordinator for Maryland and a 20-year vet coaching at schools such as Navy, UPenn, Maryland, Delaware and Clarkson. Tom Worstell, 3-time All-American and ACC Player of the Year at Maryland, is our Vice President of National Scouting. Our staff is a virtual brain trust and we have picked these great minds for your benefit here in the Knowledge Bank.
Our goal is to educate, inform and assist the community. Our focus is the collegiate lacrosse prospect, but we also have other items that have more broad appeal. For example, renowned lacrosse historian Dr. Thomas Vennum, Jr., author of American Indian Lacrosse: Little Brother of War, has contributed to the Knowledge Bank as well.
The Knowledge Bank will be added to over time, so we encourage you to check back often. We encourage you to download our articles, interviews and lacrosse related materials, and share them with friends. We especially encourage coaches to share our documents with your student-athletes, as well as their parents. You may either print them out or forward the PDF files via e-mail to your team. You will need Adobe's Acrobat Reader to open the files.
