Question: Does Lax Scout offer recruitment services for any other sports?
Answer: Lax Scout only offers recruitment services for boy's lacrosse. We focus on lacrosse because we are passionate about the sport and want to encourage its growth.

Question: Does Lax Scout offer recruitment services for girl's lacrosse?
Answer: Unfortunately Lax Scout does not currently offer any services for girls lacrosse. There are two main reasons: 1) our staff is experienced with boy's lacrosse and not girls lacrosse, which is a very different sport and 2) we would need to produce an entirely different publication that went out to a different list of coaches (women's lacrosse coaches) and since Lax Scout is relatively new, we do not have the staff to handle this additional work yet.

Question: I'm a high school student. What year must I be to use Lax Scout's recruitment services?
Answer: Students must be high school juniors, sophomores or freshmen. However, since registration lasts through part of the summer, students that have just ended their junior year are still able to register up until registration closes.

Question: Why can't high school seniors use Lax Scout's services as well?
Answer: By the time that college coaches receive our High School Lacrosse Recruiting Report, seniors will have already graduated and will be entering their first year of college.

Question: What help is available for a high school student that wants to sign up for Lax Scout's services through the online registration process?
Answer: We have designed the registration process to be as simple as possible, but there is a lot of information that we need to collect so it can be complicated at times. In order to help you along the way, we have included help messages for many of the fields we ask you to answer. Simply roll over the help icon next to each question with your cursor for detailed information and examples when necessary.

Question: Does Lax Scout have an email newsletter?
Answer: Yes, Lax Scout has three different e-mail newsletters. We provide a newsletter for interested high school students, their parents and their coaches. We provide another specifically for college coaches that are interested in learning more about our report and how our services can benefit their programs. We also provide a general newsletter for anyone that is interested in learning more about Lax Scout. Note that if you sign up for either the coaches or the students newsletter, it is not necessary to also sign up for the general newsletter since both will receive all the information that is sent in the general newsletter. Click here to sign up for one of our newsletters.

Question: Can anyone other than coaches and students purchase your publication?
Answer: Yes, Lax Scout's publication is open to the general public, however only college coaches will receive student contact information packets and mailing labels.

Question: Who else would want to purchase your publication?
Answer: There are a lot of lacrosse fans out there that love following high school teams and players from around the country. This report is perfect for those individuals. Friends, family members or coaches of students in the report might also like a copy as a keepsake.

Question: Is there anything I need to do if I want to play NCAA Division I or Division II collegiate sports?
Answer: At some point you will need to register with the NCAA Clearinghouse.

Question: What is the NCAA Clearinghouse?
Answer: The NCAA Clearinghouse is a system set up by the NCAA to help colleges determine academic eligibility for prospective student athletes at the NCAA Division I and Division II levels. If you are interested in playing collegiate athletics at an NCAA DI or DII institution, you can find out more about the Clearinghouse at their web site http://www.ncaaclearinghouse.net.
